Published in 1965 by British Railways Southern Region,  largely to extol the many delights of the area it served, and to celebrate the new electric trains being brought in to replace the last few steam locomotives ( although they do get a mention).

Full of photographs, mostly in colour, and lots of advertisements, this really is redolent of the period!. 320 page paperback carmmed with maps, drawings and colour plus B&W Photos.

CONDITION: Cover a bit tatty and some page sections are loose. Still enjoyable though!
