Gearing of Lathes for Screwcutting
Altering the gearing of a lathe to cut a particular thread pitch can be a considerable metal exercise, but this book will certainly reduce the stress factor.
Firstly it describes the gearing arrangements of many of the makes of lathes likely to be found in a model engineer's workshop, and then contains tables for each, giving the gearing requirements to produce a whole range of pitches for different teeth forms. Really very good and useful.
