Exceptional cars, all the cars and vans of the CIWL 1872-1930

Sleeping cars, restaurant, lounge, Pullman and "teak" vans of the Compagnie Internationale des Wagons-Lits and Grands Express Européens 1872-1930

After their masterful study of the CIWL's metal equipment after 1922, here is the second part, devoted to the so-called "teak" cars, from the founding of the company in 1872 to the early 1930s. As with the first volume, the authors have endeavored to list all the cars and vans that provided the services and prestige of the Company's great trains during the Belle Époque, first and foremost the Orient-Express.
A very rich and very rare iconography illustrates this work, including some colorized photos in perfect compliance with the colours of the time!

368 pages, more than 600 illustrations, format 210 x 285 mm
