Scratchbuilding GWR Bulldog 3343 CAMELOT

Tony White describes how he built a fine-scale, electrically powered, Gauge 1 model of an outside framed GWR ‘Bulldog’ class 4-4-0 from scratch, including his research into the variations amongst the class.

The descriptions and the photographs are excellent, although the drawings are just adequate, many being redimesioned drawings for a 5” gauge version by the late Keith Wilson. Includes a section on fitting the electronics both for radio control and for sound. Tony’s model is spectacular and shows that Gauge 1 locos don’t have to be steam.

90 spiralbound pages full of colour photos, plus sketches and drawings. Card covers. (We understand etches will be available for most parts of this model in 2021 from Orion Models)
