Fournereau
The French family firm of Fournereau is best known today as the publishers of two railway modelling magazines, and one on prototype railways, plus a range of books on railway subjects
But between 1930 and 1960 the firm's fame rested on its range of '0' gauge models of French prototypes which were almost certainly of a higher quality than any produced anywhere else in the world, including Bassett-Lowke in the UK.
Naturally published by the firm, this is a wonderful book telling Fournereau's history in detail (and in French),and also illustrating most of its products in colour, as well as showing their construction.
Fournereau was not well known in Britain, but a number of its models, including some very rare ones, may be seen at the Brighton Toy and Model Museum.
