Brunel's Royal Albert Bridge
We had this excellent book when it was first published back in 1997, and here it is back again, albeit in paperback.
Whilst it does cover the historical background, the focus of the book is on the methods, some innovative, that Brunel used to construct it, and the alterations, repairs and work carried out on it since it opened in 1859 to enable it to carry increasingly heavy traffic.
Beautifully produced with numerous drawings and B&W illustrations and photographs.152 pages.
