Third Impression of this introduction to the Museum of British Transport which opened in  1961 in a redundant bus garage in Clapham High Street.

This covered mainly railways, trams and buses, but was on a restricted site and despite being very attractive closed in 1973, and the exhbit were dispersed around the country to form the National Railway Museum, the Crich Tramway Museum and others.

This Introduction, written by Bryan Morgan, is a most enjoyable memoir of a short lived star in the world of transport museums.
