The Southwold Railway
The first detail history of this 3’ gauge railway in East Suffolk, opened in 1879 and closed in 1929.
It had but 4 engines throughout its life and some unusual goods rolling stock, but did its job well, until the effects of World War 1, and the arrival of motor transport, led to its closure.
248 well produced pages, excellent text and numerous B&W archive photos, plus maps and station layouts. Hardbound.
