Irish Railway Memories - A Decade of Change 1984-1994

Fifty all colour photographs, most full page, of the motive power on both IR and NIR over an interesting period when the last of the early diesels were disappearing, and the 121,141,181, 071 and 201 classes came in.

During this period  IR decided to stay with loco haulage, rather than follow the worldwide trend towards fixed formation diesel and electric units. NIR had always been more railcar orientated, and these are seen here.
