Beautiful reproduction of the Catalog issued by the Grant Locomotive Works of Paterson, New Jersey, the first photographically illustrated catalog.

Grant produced  whole range of locomotives, including numerous 'classic' wood-burning 4-4-0s and also 3' gauge locomotives.

Also illustrated are photographs illustrating the main parts of Grant locomotives, plus a description of them.

Additional material has been added by Mallory Hope Ferrell, the producer of this volume, who has also signed it.

Published in 1971 and this copy numbered 1138 of 1500.
