The second edition of a book first published in 1973 when the Channerl Tunnel was just starting, this edition was published in 1989 when the Tunnel was an established fact.
The book is largely concerned with the previous ideas for building the tunnel and the politics which went into today's tunnel being built - fascinating stuff! The major parts of the book are reproductions of articles from 19th Century newspapers and, as a result, a number of the photos have reproducde in a rather murky way, although the vast majority are clear - and they are a heck of a lot of them.
144 pages. A4 paperback. Sticker on the front cover showing the the price at Eurotunnel as £5.99! Sorry, but it is rather more today!
