ferrovissime No. 140 Les Pacific Chapelon divas de la vapeur
This French bi-monthly magazine from LR Presse largely covers events on French Railways from the 1950s, up to the withdrawal of locomotives and rolling stock which had been introduced much later.
Next January will see the 60th anniversary of the last run of a Chapelon Pacific - from Calais to Paris and return in 10 pages of this issue. Also included are the first section of a long article on the revolutionary BB15000electrics which have now all been withdrawn. Plus there is an article on the Depot of Bordeaux Saint-Jean in the days of steam, and another on the metre gauge 400 class of diesel built to replace steam locomotives.
There are also a good number of much shorter articles in an extremely well produced magazine full of very good B&W and colour photographs. 98 A4 format pages. Paperback.
