Very large format book(43.5cms x 25.5cms) published in 1958, with very good coloured side elevations of 10 locomotives, then being retired to York or Clapham museums.

The locomotives range, by date of building, from GNR No. 1 to GWR No.3440 'City of Truro'. Three had a last year or so of Glory working preservation specials prior to final retirement.

Each locomotive has a full text page on its history, plus the full page drawings and technical  details.

CONDITION: Hardbound. Boards slight;y worn on edges. No dust jacket. Contents pages very good other than marginal discolouration round the edges.
