Model Steam Locomotives by Henry Greenly

Possibly the third or 4th edition of this famous book by Henry Greenly, which was the first to really cover the subject in depth. By dint of when it was published, probably in the late 1920s or early 1930s, this edition covers the smaller gauges, notably Gauges 1 & 2, rather than the larger passenger-hauling gauges which dominate later editions - see our reprint of the 1954 edition. For the smaller gauges it is a mine of information.

CONDITION: I have to admit this is a book in search of a new and loving home. It is loose in the bindings, and missing the Title page, pages 3 & 4 and 6 to 10, but possibly rebound (or handled with gentle care) should give many years of useful pleasure.

The name and address on the inside cover indicate that it was owned at one time by the late Michael Wrottesley who was to become the Chairman of the Gauge 1 Model Railway Association
