Third Printing (1939) of this glorious autobiographical book recounting the author's life  as a youth and a young man, growing up alongside and then working on the Rio Grande 3ft gauge line from Montrose to Gunnison in the Colorado Rockies.

A great read from someone who went on to be writer and by 1958 had produced 60 stories and serials. Illustrated with numerous B&W photographs, often by well-known Coloardo photographers and also numerous B&W illustrations illustrating stories from the book.
