The Hejaz Railway

£41.95

First, 2005, edition of this coffee table size book which details the history of this famous railway which, at maximum extent, stretched from Damascus, south to Madinah.

The full length of the line was completed shortly before the start of World War 1, but the southern two/thirds was closed during the 1920s, largely due to the attacks led by  Lawrence of Arabia on it, during the war.

Exceptionally well produced 205 page book, with many B&W and splendid colour photographs, maps and an excellent text. Harbound, with dust jacket.

CONDITION: Dust jacket has slight creasing on front top, otherwise good. Top of book' spine also has slight dent, otherwise book is very good.
