First published in British Railway Modelling, this is a tremendous book for the railway modeller and the railway historian.
Based on extensive research, this first volume of four contains colour illustrations of locomotives, carriages and goods wagons of seven Welsh railway companies, the Great Western Railway, the Mersey and the Wirral Railways, and the Midland and South Western Junction Railway.
Whilst dimensions, of lining for example, are not given, where at all possible Pantone and other colour references are given for accurate results. Also includes brief chapters on ‘Painting Methods’ and ‘Materials in a Typical Railway Paint Shop’, and a number of B&W archive photographs. Great Information!
